We ended our Spearfish Canyon scenic drive by going through Lead, and parked our car in Deadwood. We did not find any free parking, there are plenty of paid public parking ($3 for a few hours for us… Full review by Brown_Samantha

For the most part, Olde Town is pet friendly, but they still want your pet to stay outside. They put out bowls of water, give dog biscuits, but it's not really cool to bring them into any establishment. There are several restaurants in the area that offer outdoor seating that allows for pet companions.

In June when we visited across the street from The #1 Saloon there was a courtyard with stage w/musicians performing on Saturday. I'm guessing this was a regular happening. Band sounded good too! We were all invested in boarding the tour bus at the #1 Saloon to do city tour w Mike ( he does a great tour) when we returned the band was on break...... Then our attention turned to a shoot out on the street, followed by Wild Bills shooting then the trial. Fun city.... Check it out!
