The conventional advice is to start early (<6.00am), & to catch the shuttle from P2-P3 (to avoid the big climb), & to allow 3.5 to 5 hours each way (for this ‘demanding hike’). That could work out OK… Full review by Phillip L

If you decided not to use a guide no one will stop you from going up as there is no guards. Bu you just need to follow the direction signs really carefully.
