Russia’s Defense Ministry said its air defense systems intercepted 70 Ukrainian drones over six regions, including 34 over the Moscow region.

Russia and Ukraine have exchanged record numbers of drone strikes, with Moscow launching a total of 145 drones on Saturday night – the most ever in a single night-time attack of the war.

Russia escalated its attacks on Kyiv early Wednesday, launching waves of drones and missiles in its first combined aerial assault on the capital in more than 70 days, authorities said.The broadside came as Washington and Seoul echoed warnings from Ukraine that North Korean troops had begun "engaging in combat operations" alongside Russian forces on the border between the warring countries.

Russia attacked the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with a sophisticated combination of missiles and drones for the first time in 73 days on Wednesday, authorities said, as the Pentagon said most of the North Korean troops sent to help Moscow’s war effort are fighting to drive Ukraine’s army off Russian soil in the Kursk border region.

Ukrainian air defences intercepted some of the missiles and drones after Moscow struck Kyiv and several other regions in the country on Wednesday.

On the night of November 13, Russia launched a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using various types of missiles, guided bombs, and attack drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 96 Russian air targets were recorded.
