Las Cruces police shot a man and later arrested him after responding to a report of an armed suspect yelling outside an apartment complex Monday.

Police responded to the 1300 block of South Espina Street for a report of an armed man yelling outside. He was found armed, which led to an officer shooting and hitting him at least once. The suspect, described as 50-year-old Danny Garcia De Leon, was arrested after being hospitalized. No police officers were hurt in the shooting.
